United States Army Family Day

633rd Battalian

In July, we had the honor of performing for over 700 American Soldiers at their annual Family Day at Denver Williams Park in Wilmington, Ohio. Our stage was a tractor trailor Army truck. At least it started that way. During soundcheck, the sky opened up so we had to tear down and move under a small tent. The soldiers and their families tried to muster under a group of tents while we played. We played until it was simply impossible but it was still a glorious experience playing for those brave folks.

Dismantling our stage

The soldiers had to tear down the tents and load the equipment in the pouring rain. They were amazing to watch. It was a miserable day but they went about their business as if the sun was shining. We kept playing until we were the last tent standing. We figured if these men and women fight for our country, we could play a little rock and roll in the rain.

Hello Kelly

Emma and Carly met Hello Kelly, a christian band from Canada who were playing later that evening at Joe's Java. Crosspoint played at Joe's during their August tour.
