Christmas with the Troops

In December 2004, we had the privilege and honor of playing the Christmas Party for the 967th Quartermaster Company of the U.S Army Reserve. We met some of our amazing American soldiers and their families. During the event they honored the troops who had already completed duty tours in Iraq and those who would soon be deployed. We also witnessed several promotion ceremonies. Some of the command staff discussed the challenges that the soldiers and families faced when their loved ones were deployed. There are no words to describe the courage and determination that we saw in the eyes of those families. We played some rock and roll in the hope that we could add something to their Christmas experience. Instead they gave us one of our most memorable celebrations ever. God bless these brave men and women!
